P2 BIG front mount intercooler
This one is for the people that want even more cooling over the normal front mount. This BIG intercooler uses a Vibrant Performance core that measures 22” x 9.25” x 3.25” thick. This core is good to 700hp (crank). I use this intercooler on my personal car with a Borg Warner 7163 turbo.
This intercooler uses a 2.5” inlet and outlet, it will not work with the stock hoses.
THIS WILL REQUIRE CRASH BAR MODS ON A SEDAN. It will require the crash bar to removed to install on either V or S, but on a V the crash bar should be able to be installed with no mods.
For those that do not want to modify the crash bar, I offer my own. I cut apart the center of the bar and weld in a 2” x 1” box aluminum up top and a 1” round aluminum bar on the bottom. Plus $200
The photos show the difference in between the 2 intercoolers. The one you see in the photos is a prototype. The production unit will not have any clamps. Since the crash bar has to come out, there is no need for clamps.
I’ve update this for those that want to use this on a stock turbo. This is a bit overkill for the stock turbo, but if you plan on upgrading to a larger turbo in the future, no need to buy 2 intercoolers. Stock inlet size is 2.25”.
